Lokta Paper Envelop

Lokta paper envelopes are a unique and eco-friendly option for your mailing needs. Made from the fibers of the Lokta plant, a sustainable and renewable resource found in the Himalayan region, these envelopes are not only environmentally conscious but also visually stunning.
The Lokta paper used to create these envelopes is handmade, giving each one a distinct texture and character. The fibers used in the paper-making process are strong and durable, ensuring that your mail stays safe and secure during transit.

These envelopes come in a variety of sizes and styles, including standard letter envelopes, invitation envelopes, and even window envelopes. They are also available in a range of colors, from natural earth tones to bright and bold hues.

Not only are Lokta paper envelopes a beautiful and sustainable choice for your mailings, but they also support local communities in the Himalayan region. By purchasing these envelopes, you are helping to preserve traditional paper-making techniques and support the livelihoods of those who rely on the Lokta plant for income.

Overall, Lokta paper envelopes are a unique and environmentally responsible option for anyone looking to make a statement with their mailings.

Centuries-Old Lost-Wax Metal Casting

Each sculpture at Handmade Handicraft is crafted using the ancient cire-perdue (lost-wax) technique, a craft perfected over a millennium by the Newar artisans of Patan. The process begins with sculpting beeswax and Himalayan tree resin by hand. A multi-layered clay mold is formed around the wax, which is melted away in the furnace, creating a void that is filled with molten red copper or bronze.

24K Mercury Gilding

Applied with pure gold leaf and fused using fire gilding for an ethereal sheen that endures for generations.

Cold-Gold Face Painting

The sacred facial features and serene gaze of deities are carefully rendered with powdered cold gold and natural pigments.

Hand-Chiseled Detailing

Intricate robes, mandalas, and jewels are carved by hand with miniature steel chisels and devotion.
